CottageScapes Bakery
Local baker Steve Bryce creates amazing baked goods for us on a regular basis, including wheat bread, scones, his popular cinnamon crowns, and more. You may also know him as the former chef and co-owner of Brightside Kitchen — an incredible all-vegan restaurant in West Des Moines that closed several years ago. Steve also helps prep our NWK meals and bakes for our friends at The Slow Down Coffee! Keep an eye out for his baked goods on our rotating menu!
Domestic Bones
Our friend Kim makes incredible hand pies in a wide variety of flavors and frequently offers gluten-free options! We collaborate with her on special vegan editions of her pies, contributing our vegan sausage crumbles as part of the filling. Watch for her pies to appear as part of our menu on a regular basis.
Oh High Cookies
A combination of restaurant ownership burnout, a case of the munchies, and a little extra time on her hands led Lesley Rish to create Oh High Cookies. They specialize in large, decadent, stuffed cookies. We feature their vegan items on our menu from time to time as an additional dessert option alongside our own dessert cups and protein bars. Give them a try when they appear on our menu!
ST Media
Justin Norman of ST Media has been collaborator since the days of New World Café in 2012. He designed the iconic beet logo for our restaurant, as well as our menus. Today he performs a wide variety of tasks as co-owner of New World Kitchen including making weekly updates to the website, designing social media graphics, doing all of our food and event photography, and designing custom software to manage our weekly ordering. He also owns and runs ST Media, a local marketing company specializing in video and website design.

Ray Family Farms
Ray Family Farms began in 2019 by owner and operator, Jason Ray. In an effort to heal after major surgery, he began to alter his eating habits and how to heal his body with food. We use their hydroponically grown microgreens in our Rainbow Kale Salad. Give it a try when it appears on our menu and experience their delicious microgreens for yourself!
Campbell's Nutrition
One of our favorite local grocery stores also works with us as a supplier for the ingredients in our food. They have a huge variety of nutritional supplements and vegan food that you really can't find anywhere else in Des Moines. We highly recommend checking them out for your local grocery shopping needs!
